Our only regret was that we didn’t find Jennifer four years ago! We came to W-S to attend the WFU graduation.
After spending four years at all of the different W-S hotels, this was a beautiful and relaxing change of pace to come home to every evening.
There is just such an overwhelming peacefulness to be able to make your own cup of coffee and sit out on the deck after having a restful night sleep that is priceless.

Our stay at Sweet Annie’s was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a spotless, beautifully decorated space that felt even better than the photos. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the cozy furnishings and well-stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds and luxurious linens. From the moment we walked in, it felt inviting and peaceful, like a home away from home.
One of the biggest highlights of the property is definitely the fishing pond. We loved sitting by the water, enjoying the quiet, watching the wildlife, and catching many fish right from the private dock with the fishing poles that were provided at the house. We loved waking up to peaceful mornings on the patio, enjoying the stunning views, and ending our days relaxing by the fire pit. It was serene, scenic, and exceeded what we were hoping for.
The location is ideal as well: close enough to conveniences but tucked away enough to feel private and secluded. The hosts were gracious, responsive, and clearly take pride in making sure their guests have a fantastic experience.
We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years, but this one stands out as one of the best. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with charm, comfort, and an awesome fishing spot, to unwind, explore, and feel right at home, look no further than Sweet Annie’s. We’re already planning our next visit!

Staying at Sweet Annie's in Winston Salem, NC, was a truly delightful experience. This charming property beautifully integrates historical elements with modern comfort, making it a perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind.
From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the rich history surrounding the property. The architecture and decor reflect a bygone era, and you can feel the stories that the walls have to tell. Wandering through the well-preserved spaces, I appreciated the attention to detail that honors the local heritage.
The serenity of the location was another highlight of my stay. Nestled in a peaceful area, Sweet Annie's offers a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I found myself enjoying quiet moments on the porch, surrounded by nature, which added to the overall tranquility of my visit.
Overall, my time at Sweet Annie's was both enriching and relaxing. The combination of history and peace made it a memorable getaway, and I would absolutely return in the future. If you're looking for a place that offers both charm and calm, I highly recommend Sweet Annie's.
