Great location and has everything you need to stopover on your hike. Host is very friendly and helpful. Dinner, breakfast and the fact that you can take sandwiches for lunch is insanely helpful! Very good place!

The host was a really kind and courteous person who even cooked freshly for us (what we did not expect). The beds in the lovely wooden house were super comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were also super delicious and vegetarian options available, which is not common in Japan. The host even recommended the best swimming spot in Koguchi.

The guesthouse is located in the only village before the Nachi Taisha trekking, so it’s “mandatory” to stay here. The property is nice and well organised, however it is really expensive for what you get - one bathroom only for 10 people and a ready-made dinner heated in the microwave. The breakfast was nice though, and the staff let us prepare the sandwiches for the trekking since there is no bento box option. Also we tried to buy the locally-produced beer but we were asked by the staff to leave a google review and we’d get one for free, which we really didn’t appreciate.

Very overpriced for the services offered.
