It was comfy, and in a good location.

Getting hold of anybody if we had a problem was ‘Hard’! The flat next door was being upgraded, our kitchen roof came in. Not good…..the builders sorted it after we agreed to work - all before the person looking after the place got back to us. 🙈

The property has a genuine Bajan vibe about it. It's old, it creaks a bit and it won't win any award for modern minimal design... and it's all the better for it. You instantly feel at home. Beds are comfy, everything's clean and where you expect it. My visit was for a work trip so super impressed with the wifi speed and its stability which is rare for such places. Beaches, boardwalk, bar a restaurants all within a five minute walk. Host greeted us on arrival so no faffing around with key locks. There's many luxurious, five-star, modern accommodation options in Barbados. This is not one of them. Instead, you have a lovely, homely apartment in which you can't help to feel properly embedded into to the local culture. Highly recommended and proof you don't need to remortgage to enjoy Barbados.

Sticking to the good points. The apartment is in a pleasant setting very close to lovely beaches and restaurants/bars. The ONE bedroom was very comfortable as was the living space. Kitchen basic but functional, ditto the ONE working bathroom. Apartment would have been perfectly ok for 2 people who are happy without mod cons. Kristine who helps with the apartment onsite was as helpful as she could be given the circumstances. The hosts are in Canada. Probably would rate it as a 7 going on 8 if we were only 2 persons.

We had initially booked for 2 persons, later increased to 3 but as the accommodation was advertised as having 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms we didn't foresee any problems. On arrival we found the second bedroom consisted of a single bed in a store room, with no window and separated from the rest of the apartment by a curtain. There was also what could be described as a day bed on a landing at the top of the stairs into the apartment. The second bathroom was not functional with no hot water supply and didn't look like it had been cleaned in an age, There was extensive building work in the adjoining apartment and the builders padlocked the security door locking us out of the apartment on one occasion. We cut short our stay from 5 to 3 nights.
