Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich- schönes Gebäude - sehr ruhige komfortable Zimmer Wir fragten an ob wir die Räder unterstellen könnten - das war möglich im Hof - der Gastgeber war sehr unkompliziert 🙂

Location excellent - Cathedral was about a 10 minute walk. Great connectivity for public transport with tram stop/u-bahn all within a 5 minute walk at Schwedenplatz. Direct Airport shuttle bus within a 2 minute walk. Very handy and a USP that the accommodation should promote! We had a family room which was very clean, spacious and modern. Beds firm but comfy and the pillows were also comfy, towels nice and soft. I liked the self-service entry, though as there was no reception, you're reliant on WhatsApp to discuss any issues. Personally I'd like to have someone on site to speak to face to face.

The main issue for us was non working safety deposit box. I am sure that Booking.com ad stated these were available, but when I spoke to them I was told it had just been installed and was waiting to be commissioned. Not really happy at having to carry passports and cash with me all week. Bathroom - Very spacious, but there's a problem with the drains. Intermittent unpleasant odour and at times we needed to close the bathroom door because of the smell. Main picture on their website misleading - frontage looks nothing like this in real life! Slight inconveniences! The shower was ok, but fed by a hot water tank meaning the shower ran tepid when my wife needed to spend longer time in it washing her hair. The shower would also soak the whole of the floor, so a screen would be helpful to stop the water spreading across the bathroom. No toilet roll holder! You had to reach around to the shelf behind you to get the loo roll. No hooks in the bathroom to hang hand or bath towels. There was a massive gap at the bottom of the door which allowed light from the very brightly lit corridor into the room. While there was a fridge in the room, it seemed pretty pointless as there wasn't any facilities to make a hot drink. Granted this was not advertised. We were given a stack of paper cups, no glass ones. Lighting is also a bit harsh. Our room wasn't made up all week, so no rubbish removed. Wi-fi not reliable and kept on dropping out, which I didn't realise until streaming a football match which wiped out my remaining data allowance out! Would I stay again? Not sure! It's google entry says it's 'Exclusive boutique hotel in the heart of Vienna'. I would say with it's lack of facilities it's more of an upmarket hostel, albeit a clean and comfortable one. Feels like it just needs some finishing touches to make it better.
