Our stay at L’Affaccio sul Borgo was perfection. The apartment kitchen is beautifully equipped with every attention to what a cook might want. The bed was very comfortable. There was quiet and peace in the unit as well as on the balcony overlooking sunset. A true delight to spend our days in Montone as well as to base our exploration of Umbria. Such a lovely decorated place with thoughtful attention to detail. We especially appreciated the many welcoming touches provided by our host. One of the very best stays we have had in many years of travelling the world!
All was wonderful.

The apartment has all the extremely comfortable amenities you would expect and was extremely a pleasure to stay in. It overlooks the town square, so cannot be more central, is surrounded by restaurants and has a small grocer right downstairs. Out host Barbera welcomed us and was extremely helpful. We were welcomed with a bottle of Procecco as well.
The town itself is also absolutely fantastic for a country stay and the restaurants are sublime.
The only downside was we were in the middle of a 37 deg heatwave and even with two great ceiling fans it got very hot at night. Unfortunately the historic town wont allow air conditioners.
