Honouring a Local Legend: The Best View in the House

Welcome to The Founder's Vista Suite, the premier offering within our Peterson Apartments collection. This spacious one-bedroom, 800 sq. ft. serviced apartment is more than just a place to stay—it's a tribute to a lifetime of community building.

The Founder's Legacy: A Tribute to Gordie Peterson

This suite is named in honour of the late Gordon "Gordie" Peterson (1929-2023), Jenna's grandfather and a true Alert Bay icon. For over 50 years, Gordie was a pillar of our community—as Mayor, an executive of the Legion and Lions Club, and an entrepreneur whose ventures were woven into the fabric of the village. His legacy of hospitality and service is the foundation of Peterson Ventures. This premier suite, with its commanding view of the Johnstone Strait he loved, is our tribute to him.

Your Serviced Apartment Experience

Located on the top (2nd) floor, this suite features an open-concept living area, a fully stocked kitchen with everything needed for gourmet meal preparation, and a private balcony perfect for watching sunsets over the bay with the mountains of Vancouver Island in the distance. The master bedroom is a peaceful retreat, and a dedicated workspace makes the suite ideal for both relaxation and productivity.

We're Joe and Jenna, the next generation proud to continue Gordie's legacy.
