I stayed at this property May 29-31, 2026. I booked the property over 5 months earlier, and when I did, the owner was responsive and said that he would send me the check-in instructions and code the morning of check in. Morning of check-in arrived and I had not heard from him. I reached out and did not get a response. I thought, okay, maybe he's not awake yet, so I waited until 10:30 AM and still no response. I called VRBO and they were unable to reach him. After being on the phone with VRBO forever, they said they would send him an email and give him two hours to respond. So we went ahead and started our 5 hour drive to Pensacola. When the two hours had lapsed, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called VRBO and they said they were able to reach him finally and we got our check in instructions. The only message the owner sent me were the instructions, no apology for the stress that this caused and no response to my earlier messages. The place is decorated cute but there were ants in the kitchen and a spiders web with a live spider in the closet. The air hockey is missing parts and the pac man machine does not work. One good thing I'll say is that they give you plenty of towels, and they let you use their beach towels and chairs which is nice. Also, the place is in a good area for a quick uber to downtown.
