Excellent location although being city centre, there was no guarantee of parking very nearby (paid parking means renewing daily @£21). The building manager was easily contactable and responsive. Allowed early check in and waived the charge due to conflicting information on the details we received from them and from booking.com There are a number of codes required to enter the property which means it feels secure. Easy lift once you are inside. Option to pay for early check in, late check out or bag storage. The space is light, spacious and clean, 2 bathrooms so plenty of room for 4 and a great view. Quiet with large windows which open for air. The furniture is comfortable and fun references to Manchester in the decor. Heated towel rails, fluffy towels, sachets of instant coffee and teabags and a fully equipped kitchen for meals in.

The fire escape instructions are only displayed on a notice board inside the main building entrance and I saw no fire extinguisher or blanket. It’s not obvious how to escape as the apartment is 3rd floor over the canal. Funky drain smell from the kitchen sink but we reported that on departure so hopefully temporary and resolved. There are some odd hidden charges. We knew we would have to pay for parking but there’s a damages deposit (non-refundable £36 or £300 refundable!!) and WiFi is £6 each per day. That was frustrating as the data signal is very poor. A major point for us and left us feeling a little short-changed. Charges could have been more visible on the initial booking pages. Felt like budget airline style add-ons. The entry keypads are duplicated on some doors and stiff so getting in to an unfamiliar property was challenging. No recycling instructions so we put all waste in a black bag and when entering the basement I found we could have sorted waste.

Nothing to dislike, would just perhaps put a fan in the cupboard for rare Manchester heatwaves 😂
