THE SPACE

This is a renovated 1,554-square-foot condo on the ground floor of an oceanfront building at Crescent Beach. Its single greatest advantage is what happens when you open the front door: no stairs, no elevator, no hauling coolers or sleeping toddlers up a flight. You step onto a covered patio with a striped outdoor rug and teal sling chairs, then onto a mown lawn with nothing between you and the horizon but sea oats. A private wooden boardwalk runs straight over the dune to the sand.

Inside, the kitchen, dining area and living room read as one large open space. The kitchen has white shaker cabinets with glass-front uppers, granite countertops, recessed lighting, and a big granite-topped island with three barstools. The living room centers on an oversized light-grey sectional facing the ocean-side windows. There is a dedicated workspace and a full-size washer and dryer in the unit.
