A beautiful home in a truly beautiful location, set on the hillside overlooking the village of Escoire.
The house itself is lovely, spacious and incredibly well equipped, especially for families. We stayed for a week as a group of 12 — six adults and six children aged between 3 and 10 — and one of the nicest surprises was just how much bigger the house feels in person than it looks in the pictures! There was so much space for everyone.
From the pictures, it also looked as though there was one bathroom with one toilet, but there are actually two toilets — one in the bathroom and a separate toilet next door — which made things much easier with such a large group.
The house really is a home away from home. Having a washing machine and dryer was brilliant with six children, and there is also a dishwasher and everything else we needed for a comfortable week away.
The location is peaceful and beautiful, overlooking the village and surrounded by countryside. There is lots to see and do locally, although you will definitely need a car to explore properly. There are beautiful villages, markets, caves and plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance.
We stayed in August and the weather was beautiful, even with a couple of storms. The house is so spacious that when we did spend time inside, all 12 of us could comfortably relax without ever feeling on top of each other.
Our host was absolutely lovely and regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We felt very welcome and looked after throughout our stay.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and made some really special family memories here. I actually felt quite emotional leaving! It genuinely felt like our little home in France for the week.
Thank you so much for hosting us and sharing your beautiful home. We would absolutely stay again, highly recommend it to families and larger groups, and I’m sure we’ll be back! ❤️🇫🇷 x
