I enjoyed my stay in Madrid at the Hostal Vera. It was quiet and clean. My room overlooked an interior courtyard. The hostal itself was one part of an apartment building built in 1852. And the location of the hostal in Madrid, in Las Letras, ended up being really great. This was my first time in Spain, and I would definitely stay at the Hostal Vera again. Thank you for a warm welcome.

The hostel is in a good area with good access to the surrounding tourist interests
The rooms however, were not air-conditioned- and that was a problem during our stay mid to end of May
