Lovely home with beautiful and intriguing decorations. We’ll stocked kitchen that was a pleasure to use. Bedrooms were quiet during our stay, particularly the ground floor suite.

This is an old maine house, with all of its character and charm, settled in the heart of Southwest Harbor, within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. It is exactly as it appears in the pictures. The things that you can't tell from the pictures. The house could use some light blocking drapes, the bedroom windows face East and the Sun is up at 5:00 a.m. and so are you.The bedroom with the twin beds is not air conditioned, however this wasn't a problem for us, because we enjoyed cool nights.The king size mattress upstairs could use some padding, like a mattress topper.There is a TV in the great room and there's enough seating in front of it for three people. The front room with the fireplace has a comfortable love seat, but the other chairs in the room are not comfortable, their only for looks. That room could use a small TV.The chairs at the dining room table, are antique and fragile, therefore you can't use them.And there was no Wi-fi while we were there. But we enjoyed the house and our stay, we made the best of not having Wi-Fi by playing cards at night. The house is quiet and sits back away from the main road, so you enjoy some privacy. Around the house is a stone path, beautiful hydrangeas and you frequently see deer grazing in the back yard. We enjoyed our stay.Southwest Harbor is the best pick, if you want to see Acadia, and enjoy the island, it has a lovely small town feel, the people are friendly the restaurants are excellent.
