Claremont Hotel

Our room at the Claremont Hotel was compact but well-equipped with everything we needed for a short visit. While there wasn’t room for a chair, it didn't bother us. We were thrilled to find two bedside tables and handy bedside power outlets—conveniences we missed out on at our last two (and more expensive) hotels! The small ensuite featured a surprisingly spacious shower. The bed was highly comfortable, and the entire room felt fresh, clean, and quite new. A lovely bonus was the complimentary boxed breakfast we weren't expecting, and our meal at the hotel restaurant was also excellent. Highly recommend!

The only downside is that the rooms aren’t fully soundproofed. There was quite a lot of hallway traffic, slamming doors, and outdoor motorbike noise were quite noticeable early in the evening before settling down around 10:30 pm. We also had a bit of an interrupted night's sleep due to a neighbouring guest coughing loudly, which was unfortunate but likely a rare occurrence. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs, but otherwise, we had a lovely stay.

Breakfast on the go box was a nice touch. Bed was comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bistro meals were reasonably priced. Cafe on site was pretty good as well for a good coffee.

Great location and friendly staff.

Beds were extremely soft. Door did not have bottom weatherproof seal so was very cold.

Clean and newly refurbished

The room and bathroom was too small for us.
