Hotel Complex SamElyon

Samelyon is truly a unique place where anyone would be surprised by the various facilities available there (especially the sports center and the gym), the hospitality of the staff, clean mountain air, and the super spacious rooms, lobby, SPA, etc.

I would say, one thing that does need serious work on is the food concept of their a-la-cart restaurant. We opted for the restaurant rather than the buffet dinner but we’re a bit disappointed by the food. The menu claims to have “farm to table” concept but the menu and the taste of the food kind of missed any feeling of this. The only thing that didn’t disappoint were the super tasty French fries/ potatoes, one of the things for which Samokov is famous for. The atmosphere of the restaurant though is great and staff is polite. The breakfast was not something super special as well. I would love to however emphasize on the delicious deserts available in the lobby bar and the restaurant, a true gem for sure, well done to the pastry chef! My daughter went there the previous weekend with her grandmother and attended a kids activity where they made pastries and she was so happy and excited from this (and brought them as gifts, delicious!)

The hotel is amazing, the location and SPA is great, many pools, large pool for swimming, outside jacuzzi, many saunas and a good steam bath/hammam with a proper temperature. The room is also large with comfortable bed. Clean!

The variety of the breakfast was not what I was expecting for such a hotel. They must add more products. Prices in the restaurant a bit high. Main parking in front of the hotel too small and full all the time.
