Sapphire Winds, with its first-class resort amenities, its sea-green ocean views, and brisk breezes, is a vacation home your family will treasure. Start your vacation with a swim in the glimmering private pool or a relaxing dip in the soothing hot tub. On lazy afternoons, step inside and unwind in the first-level game room that features a pool table, a poker table, a TV, and a wet bar with a full-size refrigerator and microwave. Nearby is a convenient half bath, a bedroom with a twin-over-double bunk bed, and a queen bedroom, with a full bathroom in the hallway just outside the door. All the bedrooms in this home have been tastefully appointed and feature TVs.
On the second level, you'll find two main bedrooms and one with a full bathroom in the hallway just outside the door. A half bathroom and the media room with a TV, DVD player, and surround sound complete this level. For the most part, everything was very good. In the kitchens at Sapphire Winds, both the cupboards that held the garbage bags would not stay closed. The bathroom off of the kitchenette on the second floor had a toilet seat that would not hold its position and posed a problem for the standers. There was some screen concerns of second floor bedroom sliding door and another door had a large hole(they didn't cause any problems, they were just unsightly). The pool table cues were almost all without reasonable felt tips or chalk. The laundry facilities were primo, the rooms were comfortable and the pool and hot tub were divine. Nice grill options. Above average overall.

Enjoyed our stay at SW! Very spacious house! There’s not much to do in Rodanthe so we especially enjoyed the pool and game room! The walk to the beach is very short also!

Vacasa is not locally owned (they are out of Oregon), and it is unclear who to call for issues. Communication from them about things pertaining to the house are minimal to nonexistent. We enjoyed our stay, the house was comfortable, but updates are needed. There is an elevator, which was extremely helpful for the older folks in our group. The rooms are laid out so that there is privacy for all guests. Perhaps also note that this stretch of beach seems to be having the most erosion issues along the Outer Banks. We were still able to find lovely spots on the beach and loved every minute, but hard to predict how it will be in subsequent years. I love Rodanthe, so that may not scare me away, but it is certainly something to consider when planning your stay.
