The open floor plan was perfect for a family get together! We played cards at the huge table and comfortable dining room chairs. The kitchen was the ultimate with all the tools and accessories you’d need! There were many special touches of decor. Everyone was thrilled with accommodations. The beds and linens were wonderful. There were 4 queen beds and two twin beds, but the two twin beds were bunk beds over 2 of the queen beds. That was a little bit uncomfortable for an older person to use. There were a lot of stairs to climb to get to the main floor, but the older folks handled it. It was worth it for the view and the bay window seats! We had a fabulous time together!

Super clean and adorable! They thought of all the little details - well stocked and the decor was lovely. The windows were definitely the star though! We were able to sit on the window seats and enjoy the aurora from the cozy indoors and could get great shots with the GoPro from the porch. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing place! We stayed there on Christmas night and it was absolutely magical, we even were lucky to see Aurora lights right above the house! The place is very welcoming, new and clean. The host is very nice. If we decide to come back to Alaska, we would definitely stay at the Modern Aurora Retreat.
