The Mountain Brook Inn

This is an absolutely charming inn! The property is beautiful, with a large field and gazebo that overlooks the creek. Check in was simple: We were able to just walk right up to our designated room. We were here at a perfect time for the season change. It was lovely weather during the day and crisp at night. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm. Heat and hot water were abundant. The owner, David, made a delicious breakfast, available in the common area in the downstairs section of the building. Great for getting the day started and exploring more of the area. David is super friendly, and happy to offer recommendations for the area. It's a little bit of a drive to other restaurants, bars, you-pick-it spots, etc. But the location of the inn was absolutely perfect for quiet star-gazing with the sounds of the creek as backdrop. Plus -- dog friendly! Our pups loved having so much room to run, sniff, and explore!

Breakfast was excellent. Muffins and Croissant were great. Coffee and jam was great too. Totally filling!! The rooms were super clean. The bathroom was super clean too. Everything inside was perfect. It had a old world cottage feel. WIFI is blazing fast.

The outside tables and chairs as well as the sofas on the Gazebo were a bit dirty. Need a bit of dusting and cleaning. The bathroom door does not lock from inside.
