Perched directly on the foreshore reserve, this charming retreat is an idyllic escape. From the expansive living area and every bedroom (each with balcony access), you’ll be treated to unobstructed vistas of the Mornington Peninsula, with its shimmering waters stretching out like a living postcard.
The home is equipped with a fully appointed modern kitchen, complete laundry facilities, three generously sized bedrooms, two well-designed bathrooms, and a spacious living area that invites relaxation and gatherings. Best of all, there is a front beach literally at your doorstep, allowing effortless access for morning strolls, sunset picnics, or simply dipping your toes in the ocean whenever the mood strikes.
The heart of the home features a well-equipped, contemporary kitchen boasting top-of-the-line appliances, including a sleek oven, dishwasher, and ample countertop space. Adjoining it is a vast living area, furnished with two couches ideal for lounging after a day of exploration, a large flat-screen TV for movie nights or catching up on shows, and a bright sunroom that floods the space with natural light and offers a cozy nook for reading or quiet reflection. The 10-seater dining table provides ample room to share stories and savor meals while gazing out at the stunning coastal scenery.

What we loved: it’s a peaceful part of Cowes with amazing access to red rocks beach and situated away from the holiday tourism scene in town. That said it’s also super convenient to get into Cowes as it’s a straight shot about five minutes down the road. Also close by is one of our favourite spots on the Island: The Store is just up Ventnor Rd about five minutes and they make amazing pastries and brekky rolls, etc. so location is awesome. The house had a lot of room and some great views. A big modern kitchen is a plus and there’s plenty of dishes. The house was clean inside, no strange smells or bugs etc so that was great. What wasn’t so great: As with many holiday homes things were a little tired. While the kitchen was well appointed, it’s not well setup for actual cooking, dull knives, old rusted utensils (nonstick pots and pans were very worn out and left us wishing we’d brought our own) Outside really needs some care, it’s clear the grounds were once quite beautiful but the gardens and patio areas really need a serious tidy. Unfortunately We did not enjoy the outdoor spaces on the grounds themselves as a result. Middle bedroom has a window which is rusted or something and doesn’t fully close. Thankfully we only used two rooms but I would not be happy if we had a bigger group and needed that space. Would we stay again? Yes but we’d likely bring a few more things from home. Do some repairs, clean up the gardens, and replace the pots and pans etc and it’s a 5 star
