Central Guest House

Clean tidy free parking fantastic staff friendly even though it was a shared bathroom it was always spotless they also own a resteraunt down the road got a discount there lovely people if your looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful can’t fault the place

For a budget hotel you can’t fault anything

Suitable for what we needed although bed was quite hard and hurt my back (I have chronic pain) but it was great value for money imo and the owner was friendly and had no issues at all. Good stay 🙂Would stay again if in area as it was good value

The mattress, very hard and lacks support Lack of plug sockets No mini fridge 😞

It was honestly the best place I've stayed on my whole trip so far. I stayed in 2 places in Newport and this one was like heaven and the other was like hell ! The gentleman who greeted me was immediately thoughtful and helpful and the other who helped me by storing my bag at check out was the same. It felt like being at home, I was safe and comfortable the whole time and it was quiet despite being on the main road. There's a garage opposite and it's a quick walk into the centre and to the stations. If the room had been available I would have stayed the whole time, thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality, it makes all the difference!

The only thing that would have made it better is a kettle in the room or downstairs!

The location was good with a short walk to the station and easily accessible by car with limited parking spots. The rooms were spacious.

On our visit the bed was broken, but could have easily been missed. The bathrooms are shared which isn't ideal, but yet again this was a good stay on a budget.
