Very convenient and nice place.

The rental was great. Renovated and beautiful. The neighborhood was a little “sketchy”. Both nights of our stay, there was an argument in the street right outside and the cops were called. But the rental itself was really nice and super conveniently located close to DC.

Let's start with the good...the place was clean and well maintained. Clean bedding and towels etc. As far as the rest...the apartment was not as advertised with 2 beds in 1 room and 1 in another. 1 bed in each of 2 rooms and a sofa sleeper in the kitchen. BEWARE of this inaccuracy! There was no shower soap and in 4 days, I never got a hot shower. Hot water turned to ice cold water in an instant. I had better showers in Argentina in 1977. When the owner was contacted about the issues, we got no response about water or soap. The apartment is located in a sketchy, "sketch" according to my grandson, part of town. The outside noise was awful and continued well into the late hours. The apartment is on a rather busy street. We found people sleeping on the street across from us, lots of litter and a rundown shopping center (with lots of vacancies) across the street. There was no public transportation to speak of and if there was, I would not have felt safe waiting for it. We felt rather unsafe staying there. I would not recommend staying here to anyone...friend, relative or stranger. If you are going to DC, look elsewhere!
