We loved the location on the edge of the park, it felt nice and peaceful and secluded (although there is a busy road on the other side of the trees).
Inside was very clean and modern with comfy sofas and beds. It was well equipped with everything you could need.
We will definitely be booking again.

Shower plugs were very clogged with hair and stagnant water in the bottom
Shower screens needed cleaning

Its a really lovely lodge, in a great location.
Site has lots of potential but alot if thinks arent available. Pizza shack and driving range unable to use the full time. Hot Tub wasnt cleaned the whole 4 days we were there. Every hot tub lodge ive stayed in before has been cleaned and checked daily.

We liked the location as it was within easy reach of York and Filey. It was a mostly peaceful dog-friendly site and the lodge was clean,comfortable and fairly well equipped. It would have been good if plastic drinking glasses had been provided for use by the hot tub. The onsite bar and restaurant service was super friendly and the food was delicious.
We were unaware that the lodge was right next to a very busy road that was popular with bikers. Although hidden by trees, the noise was pretty constant. We had issues with the WiFi on arrival and this was not sorted until the following day. There was no hairdryer in the lodge which we couldn’t understand as it had everything else. Fortunately, a host and stay member of staff kindly lent us one.
