Auberge Willow Inn

Beautiful location. Historic building that takes you back in time. Staff very helpful.

The restaurant is closed permanently.

It is a charming Inn that has seen better days. However the staff are wonderful and the views over the garden to the lake are lovely. We had excellent gluten free baked goods for the continental breakfast. The decor of the rooms is pleasant, the beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean. Although on the main road the rooms facing the road were very quiet.

We weren't given the rooms we had booked: one was a 1 bedroom suite with a living room, bedroom and lake views, one was a suite with lake views and the third was a deluxe queen suite. None of the rooms offered at check-in were lake view. I complained and the lovely woman who checked us in managed to juggle rooms so that 2 of our party had lake views for 2 of our 3 night stay. Neither of the rooms had a living room plus bedroom. The 3rd room was not "deluxe" and was the smallest we saw. I don't know why this issue arose but I would suggest booking directly with the Inn.

Parking & View good. Breakfast was help yourself continental-not great-apparently brought over from a bakery in the morning - muffins & bagels I thought were day old! Some fruit, coffee good but no decaf. Just expected a nicer breakfast. lovely young lady greeted us and helped with bags - do not believe owner/manager on premises. King size bed was very comfortable.

Place just seemed jaded somehow. Apparently it had been quite the happening popular place at one time with a chef and music etc. However, those days are over and it just seemed to have an air of un-coziness about it.
