Hanok Stay POONGSONGJAE Andong 풍송재

We stayed here for one night and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, the Hanok itself is very beautiful, with a lovely traditional house and a nice courtyard. The property was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was modern, with a bidet toilet and good water pressure. However, there were several issues. The location is around 25 km from Andong, so having a car is almost essential. The surrounding area itself is not particularly impressive.

Communication was possible through Booking.com, but replies sometimes took a while. We had also contacted the property the day before our arrival to let them know what time we would arrive. Despite this, when we arrived there were no check-in instructions or access code waiting for us. We had to rely on other Korean guests, who kindly called the owners for us. The owners gave them the code to our room, meaning that the access code was shared with people we did not know. Some time later, the same instructions and codes were finally sent to us directly through Booking.com. We never met or saw the owners during our stay. The kitchen was also very messy and unfortunately not a place we felt comfortable using. Overall, we would rate this stay 4 out of 5. The property itself is beautiful and has potential, but considering the price, we expected a better level of service, organisation and comfort.

Such a beautiful home, with wonderful owners and a cute dog. The traditional Hanok style gives a sense of well-being. The design with cross ventilation assists with a good sleep overnight. Owners were super helpful when we required assistance and made our stay comfortable.

Es una casa preciosa con un jardin bonito, los dueños encantadores, incluso tuvieron el detalle de regalarnos unos tomates. Cerca de Hahoe 15 min en coche y cerca de restaurantes 5 min en coche. Todo como en las fotos o mejor y como experabamos.

Me gusto todo, pero como se ve en las fotos la casita es pequeña y dormir en el suelo y la ducha sin mampara a mi no me van. Dicho esto era lo que esperabamos y fue interesante.
