I was traveling solo from the South to the North of Vietnam and happened to come across this homestay on Booking. The price was very reasonable, and when I checked Google Maps, I noticed that it was located right along the route from Du Già back to Hà Giang City. It’s not in the center of Du Già, so the area is very peaceful and quiet. The reviews were also really good, and the mountain views looked beautiful, so I decided to give it a try.
When I arrived, I was honestly surprised to learn that this house was built by the Hmong couple who run the homestay themselves. They cut the wood from the forest, sawed the timber, and even woven bamboo to build the house. The wife doesn’t speak much Vietnamese, and both of them are not very familiar with managing booking apps, so unfortunately their business is still struggling and they don’t get many guests.
The husband also offers a day trekking tour through the primeval forest, including some beautiful waterfalls where you can enjoy the scenery and even swim.
Both of them are incredibly welcoming, genuine, and enthusiastic. If you’re traveling around Du Già, I really hope you’ll consider staying here for a night and joining their trekking tour. It’s a lovely way to experience a more authentic side of Hà Giang, while also supporting a local Hmong family who is trying to build their tourism business. ❤️

Vư and his wife were the best hosts we found in Vietnam. They were so welcoming and they made sure we had everything we needed. The room was exactly like in the pictures. Vư 's wife Za made dinner and we had food with them, everything was so fresh and delicious, my partner and I couldn't stop eating because of how delicious it was !
They showed us some traditional things like their local instrument and the machine to make clothing from hemp linen, and they made us try both. We played card with Vư and his brother and had a drink at the end of the night. Not to mention the tea that Vư grows himself, so good!!
It was so much fun and so enjoyable. A unique experience

Super friendly and helpful owners who went out of the way to make my stay a pleasant.
It was a Saturday and all their family came over and we had supper together. A wonderful experience in a nice quiet location.
