Lovely large room with everything we needed

The room was spacious and had the two beds requested. The tub was great as I love a bathtub. The location was good for us.

I didn't realize I needed to check my email to check in, so I called the number on the wall. The person hung up on me. After I found the email, getting the key was easy, and we walked up to the room. (My husband found the check-in process impersonable.) There was plenty of room, so I didn't understand why the beds were pushed against the wall. I would have preferred to have space on both sides of the bed.

Having a fridge and small kitchen area, with kettle, toaster, and air fryer, as well as cups, plates, and cutlery was why we chose this room. The ensuite is of a good size, with a reasonable shower. The bed was comfortable and the TV was well placed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Town Centre and beaches.

Although washing up liquid and a sponge were provided, there was no plug for the sink or basin for the dishes so you couldn't easily wash them. Even if we could, there was no tea towel for drying them. Despite leaving the 'please service our room' sign at 1130, the room was not serviced and I had to chase for towels when we got back at 1600. That was a challenge, because the email OOO tells you they will respond in 48 hours, and the phone number was never answered and had no facility to leave a message. Not having reception staff or easy comms (eg WhatsApp) would put us off using this hotel again, which is a pity.
