Dalkeith Phoenix Aparthotel Ltd

Great location in Dalkeith town centre. Easy access to direct bus routes into the city. Fantastic staff. Plenty of eateries locally

Few things missing in the rooms. Hotel staff advised. Initial room was not as expected due to size of room and no desk, however staff were excellent in finding another room.

I was in Edinburgh during the Riding of the Marches and everything was booked up. I booked this room online and it was an exceptional deal given the other prices being charged. I was able to access the property by bus from downtown Edinburgh and only walked a few blocks. There were several restaurants within walking distance, including a carry out pizza place that offers gluten free pizzas. The location felts safe when walking in the area, even after dark. The only downside was the return bus trip didn't work out because of reduced bus schedules on Sunday. I ended up walking a little over a mile to the train, where I could purchase a ticket from a machine to get back to Edinburgh. Not too bad, just something to be aware of if you are traveling without a car. The room was small but clean with a comfortable bed, basic dishes, microwave and mini-fridge. Nice shower and responsive assistance. I would recommend to anyone looking for economical accommodations near Edinburgh. Looked like there were some nice resale stores nearby for economical shopping as well!

Very comfortable beds and good value for money, not too far from the location we needed to be at in Edinburgh.

Room was clean. Handy location and reasonable price.

Wifi was non-existent in my part of the hotel, the bed was rock-hard and the view from the window was non-existent. A shower gel dispenser in the shower would have been a nice addition. Hotel supplies ear plugs, which were handy as the walls were paper thin and several residents on the same corridor thought it considerate to have the tv full blast till the early hours.
