I had a fantastic stay at Joy’s Residence. The location is perfect—within walking distance of everything you might need. I had the entire second floor of the villa to myself, including a spacious balcony, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
The apartment is modern and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped private kitchen, microwave, and washing machine. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was large, and there was always a hot water.
Hassi, the host, was extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. He brought me a few bottles of water when I ran out, gave me great recommendations for restaurants, surf schools, and places to visit, and we even had some lovely conversations over a cup of coffee.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Weligama.

Location was fantastic right in the heart of weligama, but yet the best sleep I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. It’s so quiet in the room, the place is huge, dare I say it to big for just one person! The owners are a lovely family to. 10/10 all round
Everything was great.
