This studio apartment is spotlessly clean. The bathroom has a shower, lavatory and a toilet that flushes clean. The kitchen is well appointed with all the simple needs to cook and serve oneself. Including a hot plate, refrigerator and a hot/cold water dispenser. The balcony overlooks the relatively quiet village below. I loved the smell of Filipino food being cooked at the few food stalls nearby. I could easily walk to the food vendors or the 24 hour 7-11 store for a few sundries and snacks. There are plenty of tricycles and small cabs to rent to get to town for shopping and errands. The remote controlled modern air conditioning works well and cools this open space quickly. The large windows let the sky and sunshine in. Everyday I spent here was comfortable and filled with joy. I’m an English only speaker but the people here speak and understand English in addition to their own language very well. Nika, a very kind staff member and Marxlen the hosts daughter who was home while between college degrees, often accompanied me to the places I wanted to see and do helped with directions and all my requests. My experience was wonderful and these people made that possible. The proprietor and her family and staff are kind and generous. I’ve made new friends.

The stairs to the apartment are steep but they are sturdy and have strong hand rails. At age 75 and healthy it was good exercise for me. And it was worth it to have a second floor balcony to enjoy morning coffee and evening tea.

Comfortable and accessible to and from the main city
