Dirty and mouldy caravan , ignorant owner when asking to be moved or refund , avoid booking
The caravan was in okay area , it’s advertised as sea view ? There’s no sea view at all there’s a small pond in the end of the plot , it’s first turn from the entrance but not overly noisy
It was really dirty and grubby , outside patio area was covered in dirt leaves branches and bird poo everywhere , it just looked rundown and dirty. Door to the caravan was broken it didn’t open or shut properly , windows were dirty and draft just blew straight through , there was mould everywhere on walls doors and windows, tv didn’t have any signal in put and no connection to the arial , the beds didn’t look as if they were changed since last guests , fridge smelled mouldy and awful (like it’s only just been turned on after being off for ages) the floors were dirty , cooking facilities and equipment was dirty microwave was grubby and rusty , there were light bulb missing from dining area , the coasters and place mats were all dirty and stuck together, there was huge stain on the ceiling , bathroom had someone’s old socks and t shirt there and hair bobbles left in shower , bedside lamp was smashed , there were knocks in the walls , the whole place was just awful and nothing like what its advertised as , we contacted the owner explaining the situation and sent her photos at first she apologised but then turned rude when we asked to be moved to a different caravan or get refund to book different caravan as we’d travelled all the way down there and no where to go , owner said her cleaner says they’ve cleaned and it’s our word against cleaner , she weren’t interested in coming down to fix the situation. All in all please avoid were £415 out of pocket , we left the same day we got there as the caravan was in no fit state to stay in with how dirty and full of mould it was. As soon as you managed to get that door open you was hit in the face with musty smell. We tried to give owner benefit of the doubt but she said the cleaners manage it and they say it’s clean. Very unprofessional service. AVOID IT . If it was my business I would get in the car a drive down to make sure what’s going on instead of ignore the customer especially as I provided her with all of the photos.
