Beautiful location, peaceful, tranquil and private. We received a lovely warm welcome from Joanna and Andrew, probably didn’t help that we turned into their driveway instead of the bach🤦‍♀️🤣. Andrew was so hospitable, jumped in his ute and we followed him down to the bach. All I can say is breathtaking views. Hospitality was extended again when Joanna made homemade sour dough bread for us on Day 2, 10/10 delicious👌. Whilst there was no tv as such, wifi is available however we strongly encourage all visitors to try and unplug for at least a day. You won’t regret it. Sauna, outdoor shower and bath, warm fire, an amazing modern bach with all the creature comforts. They have thought of everything.

We booked two nights. We stayed much longer, and rescheduled our international flights to do it. Raupo Bay is one of those places that genuinely stops you in your tracks. Completely isolated, sitting on one of the most stunning beaches I’ve ever seen, with a stillness that’s almost impossible to find anymore. Photos don’t come close to capturing it. You just have to be there. The house itself is beautifully built, no expense spared, and carries a real sense of history and soul. It’s the kind of place that feels like it was built and designed with love. Johanna and Andrew welcomed us like old friends from day one, and by the time we left, that’s exactly what they were. Their warmth and generosity set the tone for the entire stay. If you’re looking to genuinely unwind, reconnect with nature, and escape the noise of everyday life, this is it. A true hidden gem, and one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had.
