The family was wonderful -- gracious in every way. The apartment had just about everything. We didn't bring towels, so we had to borrow them, but they were very nice about it. It was less expensive than smaller places in the center of the city, so that left us with money for taxis back and forth. And we were busy, so we didn't need to do much in the area.
The. downside of the location was that there weren't very many good restaurants in easy walking distance. And since it was recommended that we not walk after dark, we were nervous about going too far for dinner. We got a few supplies at the markets nearby, which was fine. And there was a good restaurant in a nearby department store (best for breakfast). But again, because the price was reasonable, we could take a taxi into the city.
