The host was incredibly friendly and really always assisting where need.
The parking was a little bit out in the open and I checked on my car regularly for safety. Just because its South Africa. The other problem was that my dad is elderly and he struggled getting up and down the steep slope towards the cabin. But we made it. Handycap people would struggle. We had a lovely stay.

The Black sunbird retreat offers a very unique experience of being very close to nature. It is modern and has everything that one needs for a short stay. The view of the river and valley is stunning. We were blessed to see little sunbirds, Due to an emergency we had to cut our journey short and could not stay for the full time booked.
no complaints.
