TERRIBLE.
The location and the size.
THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. It is listed as having air conditioning on booking.com so the question is who misrepresented this property? Was it the owner/manager of the property and if so how exactly does booking.com verify their listings and if booking.com knows, which they do now, what are they doing to hold the owner/manager of this property responsible? It is interesting that it is also listed 82 Rue Saint Dominique, a newer building, but when we got the instructions with codes and keys they were for a totally different building, an older building at 83 Rue Saint Dominique. This definitely felt like a bait and switch.
A representative from the property met us there and never explained this switch and seemed quite surprised that we asked about turning on the air conditioning. We booked this property for two weeks and it was the equivalent of almost 100 degrees farenhiet in France. We were most uncomfortable and contacted booking.com immediately. Sleeping was difficult. We had to move a fan from the living room into the bedroom so we had two and still we couldn't sleep. After more than a week, booking.com finally gave us some money so we could book a hotel, however the $ did not fully cover the 4 nights we had left.
We asked booking.com to please get us out of our stay given we were lied to and the owner/manager was unresponsive. When we tried to call them directly, for example when we were locked out of the apartment they were slow to respond without any sense of urgency. More times than not no one would respond (except to give us an iron before we got there and a relocated a power strip since outlets in the bedroom are scare or don't work.
Also, the apartment is NOT elegant. The paint on the shutters and the entire complex are in need of paint and not kept up. The apartment itself is clean and cheaply updated so for example tiles on the bathroom floor dont properly meet the wall and there is mold from the shower moisture in the gap.
