My stay went well thanks to the other travelers there, with whom I had a fantastic time. However, the host’s behavior made my stay very uncomfortable. Right from my arrival, I felt like I was being stared at for a long time, which made me uneasy. Later on—even though we had only communicated via Booking— Steve obtained my number and contacted me on WhatsApp without my permission. Throughout the stay, he messaged me asking what I was doing and where I was going, and repeatedly suggested we go for a drink. I politely declined to show how uninterested I was but the messages kept coming. As a young woman traveling alone, this made me feel very uncomfortable. I think it’s important for future female travelers to be informed so they can make an informed decision when booking.
