We arrived during the cyclone and tucked ourselves away in a warm cozy well appointed holiday home.
It had everything we needed for our stay.
It didn't matter the weather was bad the house was the perfect haven. We left relaxed and recharged.
Lesley and Wayne the perfect hosts.

Lesley was such a gracious host. We'd messed up our booking as we'd not taken into account of the loss of a day in-flight. She was accommodating and kind, extending our stay on the backend. Once we'd arrived, the home became our sanctuary. We'd stayed 3 days in the most comfortable and beautiful setting as we adjusted to the massive time change & how to use NZ appliances (every plug has a switch for power). We each had our own rooms so we slept comfortably. The views were stunning and although we weren't able to use the hot tub or pool due to it raining, we can assure future users that you'll be pinching yourself as you are incredibly lucky to stay in such a lovely home near Auckland. Kindness overflows from this well kept property owner. Thank you for allowing us there!
That we had to leave. And that the weather wasn't in our favor. Other than that, it was exactly what we'd needed for our first stay in New Zealand.

Beds were so comfortable! Also appreciated the full quality kitchen facilities just like at home. Also the host was super friendly and accommodating; offering us upgrades to make our stay for our group more comfortable. Lastly, view was spectacular especially at sunrise!
There was a minor issue with the pool pump coming on at 4am on our first night however this was rectified after we let our host know and she allowed us to have a late checkout which worked out perfectly as we were travelling home overseas. Thank you!

Wonderful setting with views to sea but almost in the bush. The property was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The art and antiquities around were an added bonus adding to the atmosphere, The hosts were excellent to deal with and there were no problems during our stay - everything worked perfectly. When information was required the hosts responded promptly. A wonderful, relaxing and charming place to stay. Highly recommended so close to Auckland.
There were a number of cockroaches around and there was dust around.
