Fabulous location, bang in the Centre overlooking the main mosque.
Very efficient self-check in process.
Drinking water on tap.
Very comfortable bed.
Nice common area.
Cash only, paid into a locked box; difficult to get change if you don’t have exact amount.
No ability to self cater.

Brilliant location. AC in the rooms and tea/coffee provided.

Fantastic location and very effective air conditioning. Self- check-in was easy, although being cash-only was a slight pain. Plenty of flip flops available for use - you'll want to use them in the bathrooms as they're not always the cleanest! Free tea and instant coffee was also appreciated.
I was also impressed by the flexibility of check-out. I did not need it, but my roommate had an evening flight and was allowed to hang around all day because the hostel wasn't busy.
Mattress is covered by an uncomfortable plastic sheet and the bathrooms were filthy. Toilet paper was stained yellow and looked as if someone had urinated on it - this was not replaced for my entire 3 day stay.
I'm also slightly concerned by the padlock on the main door at night - it's a very fiddly lock on the outside that you first have to open a lockbox to access - what are the protocols in the event of a fire?
