The Lazy Lama Hostel Uluwatu

This was my second time staying at Lazy Lama after coming back in April, and it’s still one of my favorite hostels in Uluwatu! The atmosphere is unmatched and a great pool area. It's not an overwhelming party place. The staff are as welcoming as ever.

Just a minor thing from this stay: the bottom-most storage locker in Room 12 was pretty awkward and hard to access properly. Other than that, another fantastic stay!

Instalaciones súper nuevas, limpio y muy buen ambiente. Te facilitan mucho las cosas para que conozcas a gente. Hay una cena gratuita cada noche. Cuando estuve había hasta un tatuador.

El hostel es muy bonito, se veía limpio y luminoso, muy lindo edificio. Muy cerca de lugares de interés. La habitación es muy cómoda exceptuando las camas superiores, buen espacio para guardar cosas. El baño es excelente ya que tenía el toilet separado de la ducha, había papel para secarse las manos y un mesón para apoyar cosas. Las camas estaban bien, había buen ambiente en general y un lindo patio con piscina. También hacen eventos como cenas familiares con música y la comida estaba rica, lo único malo es que a veces no hay suficientes puestos en la mesa comunitaria y te tienes que sentar apartado si no llegas de los primeros.

Algunos días es más ruidoso, muchas personas van en modo más ¨party hostel¨ aunque no exageradamente. La habitación era muy bonita pero la escalera para subir a las camas superiores fue muy mal diseñada (sin exagerar, a mis amigas les costaba bastante). Si bien la ubicación es muy cerca a supermercado, cafés y tiendas, las calles para llegar al hostel no son concurridas y son bastante oscuras en la noche por lo que aunque fueran pocos minutos caminando de la calle más pricipal, igual tomamos un grab para llegar.

The rooms are unfortunately very impractical. Everything is really pretty and brand new, but the design of the rooms is quite poor, which makes things uncomfortable. The top bunk bed is around 3 metres tall and you literally need to climb up, as there are no proper stairs. I generally don’t mind a top bed, but this was a bit ridiculous. Everyone I met who was assigned to the top bunk asked to move down and, although the staff is friendly and does their best to accommodate these requests, it won’t always be possible. The bathrooms and lockers are also very impractical. There are no shelves, so everyone leaves their things on the floor and the space becomes messy very quickly. The lockers are placed between the top and bottom beds, and there is no easy way to store luggage, even though there seems to be enough space for a much better setup. Apart from all this, I had safety issues and left earlier than expected. The hostel did reply to any of my messages and did not issue a refund. I would unfortunately not recommend booking here.
