Alley Tam Coc Homestay

It’s a homestay run by a very nice and kind family. Every time we asked for anything or just came back or left the place they were so kind. We arrived in the middle of the night (3 AM) and someone waited for us to check in and let us into the room at once - it was very considerate and beyond what I’ve expected. The breakfast is delicious and freshly made every day when you arrive to the table according to what we chose in advance the day before. The place is renovated and you can see that, which is nice. On our last day, we had a bus at 22:00 and we asked to stay in the room for a few more hours, they let us stay for a fair pay with no problems - as i said they were always so nice and considerate.

In our room there was a bad smell from the bathroom since we arrived, was not too bad so we did not complain. Also, in one of our beds we saw an insect and as soon as I told the woman in the reception, she changed the sheets. But this was all the problems we had in 3 nights there and with compassion to how caring and nice they were and the price - it is totally worth it!

The location is you need to walk in a small alley (3 corners) around 5-10 min with your heavy luggage is very inconvenient and most especially when it’s raining. May I suggest to the owner that it would be good to welcome their visitors at the main road, to help with the baggage and also it is easy to locate their property right away.

Very clean. Bathroom is big. Nearby boat station. Accessible to restaurants, groceries and shops.

You need to walk a bit from small street to get to the accomodation. Better bring 1 luggage.

We stayed 3 weeks at the Alley and loved every moment. The room was spacious, incredibly clean and filled with natural light. The bed was comfortable and cozy and the bathroom was spacious and modern. The small hotel is run by a kindhearted family, that tried to help with everything we needed. They offered laundry service and we were able to rent motorbikes through them. The location is a little away from the main road (2 min. walk)- which we liked, as it was nice and quiet. They have a pool downstairs - which was great for our son on rainy or hot days. We would definitely return. Thank you for this wonderful time.
