Very clear instructions meant easy, quick access. The location was perfect for everything and the rooms themselves were classy, elegant and spotlessly clean. Bonus for fluffy duvet and lovely towels.’it smelled fresh everyday. I had very quick and clear communication from the host. Also she allowed me to store my bags securely for a short period which was appreciated.

Some people have complained about the noise (traffic and tooting). Honestly, It felt lovely to be in a residential area with kids going to school and the bells from the nearby church. There are 2 stairs to get to my suite and they were very manageable despite having 2 knee replacements. But not accessible if you can’t do stairs. My stay was excellent.

Location!!! The property is 5 mins walking to Exiles beach and 9 mins to Fond Ghadir beach. It is also right next to a bus stop from where you can take the direct bus to Golden Bay (sandy beach). The ferries are 15 mins walking and also there is a Lidl nearby and plenty of places to eat. Valletta is close by on the bus or ferry. The flat is new, functional and cosy. Everything is pristine and as in the photos.

I stayed in Suite 1 where you are separated from the street just by a door so it is very noisy. Walls are also really thin so I could hear people simply talking upstairs or outside. The front door wasn’t opening properly, I had to enter the code several times every time and literally force my way in as when the door finally unlocks it takes strength to open it. The water pressure was also really unreliable - one minute it’s there and then the next it is not, I have a lot of hair so that made it difficult to time my showers.

A fabulously modernised apartment retaining traditional features, a lovely view of the church opposite and a great location with the promenade and sea at the end of the road. The remote check in was seamless, the place was immaculately presented and exactly as it appeared online - no misleading photos or information here! There’s masses of space to hang/store clothes, an iron and board and a fridge that is actually cold!!! (There’s even an ice cube tray in the freezer compartment!) There’s easy access to TD3 airport bus just a few minutes away at Ballutta and the bus stop at Exiles is also just at the end of the road for public transport to other destinations. The Sliema ferry to Valletta and the fast ferry to Gozo are a pleasant 15 minutes walk away and there’s a convenience store within a couple of minutes walk for all your supplies.

The apartment has a lovely Maltese balcony which is a fabulous selling point. So much more could be made of it though as unlike the rest of the apartment, it’s very sparse and appears to be a bit of an afterthought. It only has a small table and two hard chairs which aren’t comfortable for relaxing in at the end of a day’s sightseeing. There’s plenty of plug sockets so a nice standing lamp (the ceiling lights in there are very bright!) and a freestanding fan to help cool the air on a warm evening, as well as some soft furnishings would make it more inviting and useable The apartment is also fitted with motion censors to switch electrical items off when there’s no one in. This makes sense but unfortunately means that the air can’t be regulated overnight as the air con unit switches off after no movement for a while. This makes for an uncomfortable night’s sleep when it’s very warm. Although the Maltese balcony has double glazed windows, the other 2 windows to the side of the building don’t. This means that traffic noise and people passing can be heard very clearly and can disturb a good night’s sleep.

The room was nice, spacious closet to put all the stuff. Bed was also comfortable and the bathroom is beautiful. The location is also perfect and close to the beach, centre and bus station.

Contact with the host was very strange. Several amenities were promised and then weren't available, such as doing laundry. We didn't wash in the previous accommodation since it was promised, so this was quite inconvenient. The coffee pads that are provided don't fit the machine and there's a stove but no pans or appliances to cook anything.
