We just came back from a wonderful week-long stay at Villa Celeste in early September 2026! Before we arrived at the house, all our questions had been answered, and we’d received a long list of suggestions from the owner on things to do in the area. We decided not to rent a car as we were in for a relaxed vacation, so we took an Uber from the airport to the house and spend our days going to the beach, enjoying the cozy beach bar right nearby, and dining at the great restaurant and pizzeria, both just a short walk from the house. Occasionally, we cooked at home and had no trouble finding good ingredients while shopping at the two supermarkets. One of them clearly has a larger selection; it’s a bit farther away, but not so far that you can’t easily get there on foot. The larger supermarket is next to a bar and a restaurant, and it’s very close to the beach, “Genn’e Mari”—a truly beautiful beach with super-fine sand and—like so many places in Sardinia—azure-blue water, Back at the house, we often ate our meals on the small covered terrace overlooking a little garden. At one point, we had a visit from a friend who lives in Sardinia, and it was wonderful that the place was all set up and that we could all still sleep in separate rooms. Any questions we had for the owner along the way were always answered quickly and with great empathy and enthusiasm. A warm recommendation from the Danish sisters.
