Soma House Dharamkot

Beautiful stay in a peaceful location, away from the noise and busyness of Dharamkot market. The property was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely atmosphere. A special mention to Pratiksha and Sanju, who were always so kind, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay. They made me feel very welcome and were always happy to help with anything I needed.

Soma House Dharamkot was love at first sight for me as soon as I arrived. It’s rare that I come to a place and genuinely like almost everything about it, but this was definitely one of those cases. I stayed for two weeks, and it was a really high-quality stay. It’s no surprise that this guesthouse has one of the highest ratings in the village. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom is spotless, and the bed linen is fresh and clean. The internet speed is good, which was especially important to me as I work remotely. The staff is also very helpful and responsive. The house is managed by Prateeksha, a strict and responsible manager ;) who really listens to guests’ requests and does everything possible to make their stay comfortable. I needed some extra towels and a few kitchen items, and just three minutes after asking, everything was already in my room! There is also a laundry service, which is very convenient if you’re staying for an extended period. The location is quiet and pleasant, while the nearest cafés and restaurants are only a five-minute walk away. Hiking trails start right next to the house, which is also very convenient if you enjoy hiking. I’m planning to return to North India next year, and my choice of where to stay is obvious — Soma House Dharamkot again, without a doubt! My highest recommendation for this place.

My only wish was to have one more, lighter, non-winter blanket, so that I wouldn’t have to sleep under the duvet during the day when it can get quite warm. But that’s probably just me being a bit too demanding. Overall, I really have no complaints about the guesthouse. I liked everything.

Booked the studio room with balcony for two nights and ended up staying longer. The location is perfect, a short path to all the restaurants and shops in dharamkot but set back enough that it feels secluded. I can’t imagine a better mix. The view was great, wifi was reliable, shower was hot, bed was big and comfy. Would happily stay again
