This was our first time staying at Halsnoy Haven. It is the perfect home for a relaxing stay for two people. The view of the lake was incredible. The deck was the perfect place to have a coffee in the morning. Our stay happened during a heat wave but the breeze from the lake kept the temps perfect. We brought our bikes and could easily get on the Gitchi gami trail for a ride to the winery or to Tofte. Close drive to Grand Marais and many popular hikes. The Property manager is very responsive and helpful. The property next door (shares the driveway with Halsnoy Haven) is called Tofte Cove and is under the same management. We recommend both highly. Tofte Cove has extra sleeping space if needed for a family. We have stayed there a few times prior to finding Halsnoy Haven, which will be our go to lodging moving forward.

We enjoyed a six-night stay in June at Halsnoy Haven. It has beautiful views of the lake and shoreline. Extensive and well maintained grounds. Privacy. Location is perfect for activities and attractions up and down the shore from the property - hiking trails and streams, restaurants, parks, many waterfalls, light house, shops. The bike and walking trail is righ at the driveway entrance to the property. The home is impeccable. Well appointed. Clean. Spacious. First class. Deck, three-season porch and windows all along the shore side of the home made for great views all the time. Paul was very attentive and an excellent host. Halsnoy Haven would be our first choice for future stays on the North Shore.

We had a great stay, the house is beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the view is outstanding. Perfect location for exploring the North Shore, or for just staying in and relaxing. Great communication by the host. We will definitely book again!

The owners have thought of everything. The entire home was comfortable and beautifully appointed, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We even loved the toiletries that were provided. The garage and screened porch were an added bonus.
