The room was as expected and the location worked well for what I needed to do in Bishop's Stortford. It was helpful to have parking outside.
The LED status lamp on the emergency light fitting above the door was very bright and lit the room at night although this did not prevent me from sleeping

Room was clean with a very comfortable bed.
Nothing! The room was comfortable for a 1 night stay.

It had clean bedding and the bathroom was clean. It was easy to find.
Okay for a single night if you need to stop.
The window latch was broken so the room was not secure. The room was very austere and very basic. Very much a motel room.
There is only a coffee machine so tea wasn’t possible, despite the instructions to suggest you can get hot water from the machine. It didn’t work.
You absolutely cannot check in before 3pm as the pub isn’t open.

"Very convenient for one night if your flight arrives late. The room and bathroom are modern and clean."
