A beautiful new building with high quality furniture, freshly painted walls and nice touches like a floor length mirror and Marshall speaker. Stunning views, close to the beach, large rooms with a spacious balcony. Staff were lovely, welcoming and very accommodating. Comfortable bed and lovely and quiet at night.
Still clearly mid construction, with ongoing building works in and around the property. Air conditioning was insufficient, the bathroom's unsealed shutters let in heat, smoke and mosquitos, and water pressure was weak. Lighting was minimal, the curtains didn't fully cover the windows, toilet paper was rough, and there were no tissues in the room. Cash only, with no card payments. Breakfast was decent but plain, with a lot of wasted bread, and dinner had limited Sri Lankan options at high prices.
