Great location, lovely room

A little loud if you want the windows open

Lovely period property which has been extensively and tastefully decorated throughout. Our bedrooms were actually in the 15th century annexe next door, which gave us the feel of a private house as we were the only occupants for some of the time. The “family room” was actually two separate rooms with bathroom, more like a suite, which was excellent for us as two groups of friends. Meals and drinks were next door: we had breakfast each day which was served from a set menu. The French Toast was superb! Although our rooms were at the front of the property, noise level was very low. Staff were very friendly and the inn is much bigger than the frontage suggests, with lots of space for dining. The log fire in the lounge was much appreciated.

It was a bit of a pain having to go out on to the (busy) street to get in to the inn for meals: fortunately weather was dry for our stay. Traffic in Henley is insane so the Bull’s position on a main street means there is no attached parking, although there is a car park directly behind it which gives a free hour and is free overnight. Personally, we would have liked the option of the standard buffet at breakfast with toast/cereal/fruit, although the set menu is very good indeed. Everything else was great.

Lovely room with great facilities. Comfy bed, great shower. Plenty of tea, coffee and fresh milk.

A lovely place to stay right in the high street close to shops and amenities.Very helpful,friendly staff and amazing food.The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable.There was no parking but we parked in the station carpark a short walk away.They did have a function on one of the evenings with loud music but we enjoyed this and went to bed later so didn’t worry us.

The only thing the room was lacking was a fridge.
