We had a great time staying here. House was ready, had everything we needed including lots of sunscreen, bug spray, plenty of towels. It has an old timey feel with a lot of wood paneling that made it feel cozy and quaint. The views from inside were stunning. There is a loon theme throughout the house and a loon nest across the cove that we enjoyed. There were lots of indoor and outdoor activities- we kayaked, paddle boarded, fished, put a puzzle together, played pool, played board games, swam in the lake, had bonfires and smores and watched the sky for shooting stars. We went to a nearby hike that was very kid friendly and had great views. The kitchen was well stocked but we also picked up food from Day's store and sunset grill which are less than 10 minutes away.. The rooms have a ton of storage space so bags can be put away and it feels like you're settled in the house. My favorite part was that one of the rooms has a skylight over the bed and you can watch the sky for shooting stars as you fall asleep.

This family-friendly retreat offers all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. However, we encountered a few minor issues. One room wasn’t ready when we arrived, as the bed wasn’t made up and the trash wasn’t emptied. Additionally, there was extra bedding left in the washer and dryer, and used soap bars that should have been discarded. Our host, Tim, was very responsive to these matters, but we took care of them ourselves.
