The accommodation has a great location, right on a beautiful beach. There is also the option to dry your clothes outside on the clotheslines, and there is a lovely shared area where you can lie in a hammock and relax. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. It was also great that we weren’t bothered by any animals or insects in the room — no ants or other bugs, which made for a really comfortable night’s sleep.

I don’t understand why this accommodation has such a low rating. In my opinion, it really depends on what you expect. You are on a tiny island that is closed for half of the year because of the monsoon, so I actually think it’s quite amazing that there is any accommodation available here at all. That being said, you should be prepared for the possibility of finding some mold inside, but it’s nothing too serious. We stayed for five nights and had no problems at all. I would have appreciated having some chairs on the terrace, as well as a shelf or cupboard inside for storing our things. It would also have been nice to have toilet paper provided in the bathroom.

I had a wonderful time at Maya! The campground is located right by the sea and has a fantastic location at Coral Bay. Because of the breathtaking view, I spontaneously decided to upgrade to a beach bungalow and it was definitely worth it! I’m especially going to miss the beautiful terrace and the incredible views from there. The guys running that place were always helpful, attentive and available whenever I needed anything. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and for making my stay so special!

It’s an authentic place to stay with a camping vibe. You shouldn’t expect luxury, but that wasn’t what I was looking for anyway. So, I really have nothing to complain about.

The location is absolutely stunning. Right in front of the sea, you can literally jump into the water in 30 seconds. Fantastic. Coral bay offers several restaurants and bar (Amelia the best!) and diving centers, but you can reach Long Bay (the one that has more restaurants and shops) in a 10 min walk.

The management and the cleanliness!! We stayed for 4 nights at Maya. There was a misunderstanding at the check in, the day we arrived the receptionist gave our room to another couple that should have stayed in the tent. After a first propose to move into a tent, and after our reject, we moved into the room where the other couple already had unpack the bags and luggages. After calling the couple for about 1 hour, the staff moved all their personal effects into the tent, leaving us free to enter into our room. Don’t know if the couple used towels, the toilets or layed on the bed - nothing was replaced, they just passed 2 minutes the broom on the ground. The room is VERY essential: bed and nothing else, no wardrobe, no bedside table, no mirror, no chair. Same for the bathroom: wc, a tiiiiny sink and shower head above the wc (but fortunately there are two external showers, more practical to use)
