Great location in Montacute with free parking available opposite the hotel. The staff were great fun and the evening meals were delicious with a good choice of options. Our room was very clean, kettle provided along with 2 decent sized mugs and a great selection of tea bags. The bed was really comfortable.
The turn handle for switching the shower on was missing. We were able to twiddle it on by hand. We were only there 2 nights so it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. I would have liked a bowl of fruit at breakfast.

A warm welcome, fantastic pub/hotel offering amazing food and a great atmosphere. Landlady and staff were all fantastic making us very welcome and felt at home.
Rooms are comfortable, clean, I had a good nights sleep, it would be nice if the rooms were modernised slightly, they look a little tired, but I had everything I needed for a one night stay over.

Beautiful village location next to Montacute house and park. Lovely lively informal atmosphere. Excellent food. Friendly happy staff. Comfy bed.

"Dog-friendly.
Superb food with good choices on the menu, especially for my vegetarian friend. Nothing was too much trouble for the host (Zoë) who had a permanent smile on her face!
