A tastefully remodelled cottage brimming with country character and surrounded by a flower-peppered garden patio. This stylish retreat is a wonderful base for a family escape or getaway with friends on the North Norfolk Coast. Stroll beneath towering Scots pines in the immaculately groomed gardens of Sheringham Park (1.5 miles), then settle in for a sizzling BBQ supper in the cobbled split-level courtyard.

This striking home exudes tranquil country elegance with exposed wooden beams, jewel-toned fabrics, and light-flooded social spaces. Peruse the bookshelf for a holiday read or grab a bottle and debrief on the day’s activities stretched out on the plump sofas in the lounge. In winter months, throw a log on the crackling wood burner and snuggle in with a movie on the Smart TV. Venture into the farmhouse kitchen/diner, framed by large patio doors overlooking the grassy lawn. Potter with a glass of fizz as you rustle up a feast for the hungry pack. Perch on the painted wooden chairs and raise a toast your special occasion before dishing up a memorable supper. Rest up in the three thoughtfully designed bedrooms located on the first floor, consisting of a king, a double, and a twin. Completing the property is a bright family bathroom. While away summer days playing lawn games, dining al fresco on the patio, and sipping nightcaps beneath the stars.

Peer into the rockpools revealed at low tide on Sheringham Beach (4 miles) then amble along the peaceful coastal path winding towards West Runton (a further 2 miles). Grab your crabbing essentials and cast a line from Cromer Pier (7 miles) or spot the slippery-finned Norfolk residents at Blakney Point (11 miles).
