A proposito di questa casa struttura in affitto
Built before 1816, this small cottage is the oldest house on the island. Through 2025, the family that owns the listed fisherman’s cottage has restored it faithfully to its original condition and with great care, in close consultation with the historic preservation authorities. The goal was to restore the house to its historic appearance—with classic wooden windows, an elaborately restored facade, and many details that evoke the island’s early history. The extensive renovation was documented by NDR in the program “Nordstory.”
The house is a detached property located at Gartenstraße 13—quiet yet right in the heart of the city. Shops, restaurants, bakeries, and the beach are all within walking distance. Nordstrand is only about 550 meters away. A car isn’t necessary—everything is easily accessible on foot or by bike.
With approximately 47 m² of living space, the house can accommodate up to 3 people. It features one bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm) and another, smaller bedroom with a single bed (90 x 200 cm). The smaller bedroom is directly connected to the larger bedroom and can only be accessed through it—a charming, historic layout typical of old fishermen’s houses. The living space is complemented by a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and the central kitchen-living room. The house was extensively renovated in 2025.
The heart of the home is the kitchen-diner—just as was customary in the past. This is where life used to unfold. It was precisely this feeling that was deliberately recreated. A custom-made dining table with a matching bench forms the centerpiece of the room. This is where people eat, play, and chat. The kitchen is custom-built and fully equipped: an induction cooktop, oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, electric kettle, toaster, as well as dishes and kitchen utensils are, of course, provided.
Underfloor heating throughout the house ensures modern living comfort. The bathroom is equipped with high-quality fixtures and stylishly designed. Wi-Fi is available free of charge. There is a TV, but it is intentionally located exclusively in the bedroom—the focus is on tranquility, conversation, and spending time together in the open-concept kitchen.
The wind-protected terrace right next to the house is particularly lovely. From noon onward, it basks in the sun and offers a sheltered spot for relaxing outdoors. Here, you can sit in privacy and tranquility—despite the central location.
The Fischerhaus Höhe 13 is not just another run-of-the-mill vacation home. It’s a piece of Norderney’s history that is once again open to guests. A detached single-family home, the only one of its kind on the island. If you’re looking for a special vacation rental on Norderney—with character, authenticity, and an extraordinary history—you’ll find a temporary home here.
